The Ghost City Inn, just one of several bed and breakfasts in town, is clearly the ideal choice for lodging, especially for those disillusioned with the usual hotel stay. Expect to awaken to fresh coffee, orange juice and a hearty breakfast...

The Ghost City Inn was featured on Fox 10's morning show in a spot called "Truely Arizona". I was told by Fox 10 staff that they were impressed by our website and they wanted to do a feature on Jerome, with the Ghost City Inn being spotlighted. They came and filmed in late January, and it aired on Febuary 5th, 2002. A great feature done by a great station. Thanks much!

I was charmed by the Ghost City Inn, which fed my love for antiques. If you want a private bath, ask for the Cleopatra Hill Room on the first floor. Otherwise, stay upstairs in the Satin and Spurs Room, with a four-poster so high you need steps to get into it; the Sunflower Room, with its antique brass bed; the Hearts and Flowers Honeymoon Room; or the Verde View Room, with hot air balloon memorabilia.

Rates include breakfast - such as spinach quiche with yogurt, breakfast breads, orange juice, assorted cereals, fresh fruit and gourmet coffee - served in the antiques filled drawing room with lace curtains and etched globe lamps, or on the back patio next to a rock waterfall...

I stayed at the Ghost City Inn Bed & Breakfast, built in the late 1800s, with rooms overlooking the valley 2,000 feet below. Innkeepers Allen & Jackie Muma took over the bed and breakfast after relocating to Jerome from Michigan in 1999. He's the town's police chief and she runs the inn and cooks up a fabulous breakfast. She redocorated, giving each room a separate theme, all tasteful and creative. Most rooms lead out on to the veranda. I decided to go western, in a small space done up in vintage cowboy and including a custom-made high pine bed, saddle, and lasso.

A two-story building with a wide front porch and an early american ambience, this was once a boarding house for mine managers; it dates from the 1890's.
