The Ghost City Inn,
centrally located in historic Jerome, features a warm, friendly and hospitable
atmosphere, offering guests a host of amenities. Stroll into town and wander
through Jerome's many fine shops, boutiques and restaurants. Relax on the
spacious verandas and watch clouds roll off the red rocks of Sedona as the sun
chases shadows across the floor of the Verde Valley. Retreat to the courtyard
and relax in the secret garden, or soak away your worries in the secluded
outdoor hot-tub. Enjoy some interaction with other guests in the first and
second story common areas, or simply cozy up with a book in front of the
fireplace. Don't forget to check out the authentic moonshine still on display
upstairs. This is similar to the still which was in use during prohibition to
make bootleg whiskey. The original still blew up in 1931 causing extensive
damage to the upper floor of the inn! We serve a full
breakfast to our guests at 8:30 a.m.
daily, where no guest has any reason to go away hungry. We have been honored by
Arrington Journal, by receiving a "Best Country Breakfast for 2001" award. For
check in at 4:00 p.m., we serve afternoon tea, coffee and secret recipe
chocolate chip cookies. For lunch and dinner considerations, we'll be happy to
offer suggestions and directions to some of our favorite restaurants here in
Jerome. There is no bad food in Jerome! After dinner, come back to the Inn and enjoy some time on the large front porches enjoying the spectacular views. If the time is right, take in the sunset as it lights the red rocks of the Sedona area. During the monsoons, it is great to watch the storms move across the valley floor. If it is night, the lightning storms are equal to any fireworks display seen on earth! Once you have had enough of that, retire to your room, turn on the TV / VCR in your room and enjoy one of the hit movies we have in our video library. If you are still needing some relaxation, don your swim suit and head for the fantastic 8 person Beachcomber Spa located in the secluded back yard of the Inn. We offer a special blend of old west meets new west in our cozy Victorian, Early American and theme rooms. How about a stay in our Northern Exposure Room where you will feel like you have made a trip to the Alaskan frontier. The Western Room gives you a chance to experience the real "Arizona West". The Miner's Suite is our largest room complete with a sitting area and faux fireplace. The Cleopatra Hill Room offers you tin ceilings, a beautiful stained glass window, faux wood burning fireplace, a brass bed and more. All of our rooms have private bathrooms. Care to see the rooms? The Ghost City Inn is also known as the "Garcia House" for the family who owned it from 1920 until 1979. ![]() The rear outside common area of the Inn, a quiet place to just listen to the water.
